Val Slater Exhibitions Ltd was one of the founders of quality wedding fayres in south Wales 20 (genuine!!!) years ago and during that time we have seen many positive developments in the wedding industry. Some have been very influential such as the introduction of licensed venues for Civil Ceremonies and The Civil Partnership Act, and others more subtle with changes to the significance of the wedding day, the vows being made and how the union is celebrated – 20 years ago nobody had heard of chocolate fountains, videobooths, chair covers and dove release! Of late, we have also seen some not so positive developments. The explosion of wedding fayres in the south Wales area has resulted in the industry becoming oversubscribed with many inexperienced, poor quality suppliers whose main aim, unlike the more established, reputable suppliers who we favoured, appears to be their own financial reward while delivering a very low standard of service or product.
After much consideration, we have decided to make some important changes at Val Slater Exhibitions Ltd. One of these changes will affect our relationship with you as a Welsh bride or as an exhibitor, as we will not be organising wedding fayres in the south Wales area for the foreseeable future.
We have felt very privileged to promote many quality wedding businesses over the years, so this has not been a decision taken lightly, however we feel it is time for us to move into other areas of the wedding industry where many opportunities have presented themselves recently and we feel our experience will be better suited. Val Slater Exhibitions Ltd will continue to be prominent in the wedding industry – so watch this space!

The programme has been sold worldwide both to television companies and on DVD, and the Val Slater Wedding Fayre is also on YouTube.
